How do I remove or lift a credit report ban?

You can request to lift the ban on your Experian credit report through Truyu by logging into your account, going to ‘Protect’ and requesting the ban to be lifted. Your ban will be lifted within 1 business day.

If you have a ban with Equifax, you’ll need to separately request your ban to be lifted with them through this form here.

If your initial ban request was not through Truyu, you’ll need to contact the credit reporting bureau(s) directly to lift the ban.

Once lifted, lenders can access your file again and process applications as normal.
