What happens when my credit report is banned?

When your credit file is banned, lenders can’t access your credit report.

This means new credit applications are unlikely to go through while the ban is in place. It helps protect you from unauthorised activity, but it can also delay any legitimate applications you want to make. If you need to apply for credit yourself, you’ll need to lift the ban first.
